Golden Globes: My Fave Red Carpet Looks

Ahh awards season – I really love checking out the celebs' red carpet style and picking out my favourite looks. It's often with mixed emotions though as I remember that I will never be able to afford dresses like these or be invited to events fancy enough to wear one. Sigh ?. Depression aside, here's my top 6 from the 2016 Golden Globe Awards...

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

All hail Queen Rosie. When it comes to beauty and style, this woman can do no wrong. She is literally glowing in the Atelier Versace gown (with a little help from that new sparkler on her left hand). Rosie, you're my spirit animal.

Jennifer Lopez

JLo is another one who never fails to impress on the red carpet and this is definitely no exception. The colour is divine, it works perfectly with her olive complexion, and the deep red lippy complements the yellow beautifully. I'm also loving the cape, it adds an extra touch of elegance while still being on-trend.

Corinne Foxx

At first glance I wasn't sure if I liked this, but it grew on me rather quickly. It's romantic and whimsical but the plunging neckline sexes it up a bit, so it works.

Olivia Wilde

This deep ruby-red sequinned Michael Kors number is super glam and screams red carpet. I'm also really loving her caramel balayage locks!

Jenna Dewan-Tatum

There were quite a few stunning jewel-toned frocks on the Golden Globes red carpet this year but this sapphire Zuhair Murad gown was definitely one of the stand-outs. I like that she went with simple hair and makeup and minimal accessories to really let the dress shine.

Just when I thought the peplum trend had well and truly died, BAM?, triple peplum! And it's glorious. This tiered Marchesa gown could quite possibly be the dress of the night.   Feature image by Peter Dutton licensed under CC BY 2.0

I think it’s the most stand-out anyway because it’s a bit different and Zendaya wears it so well. If I were to pick one to wear myself, it would be Rosie’s.
